More than 20 years of teaching and training dressage have deepened Dawn Fisher's passion for helping horse and rider achieve new levels of harmony.  Her fresh, dynamic approach to each horse and rider and their individual styles of moving and learning bridges the gap between the Old Masters and contemporary training systems.  By helping riders understand how their bodies - and how they move them, or don't more them - correlate with their horse's body, Dawn helps each pair tap into greater grace, power and joy.

While her focus is on helping riders cultivate a correct seat and aides, her overarching principal is simple:  Respect for the horse.

Dawn is passionate about helping horse and rider improve via dressage - even if their goals are outside "M - X - K."  Her gift of communication - with horses and people - enables her to help and inspire all types of personalities - in both species.  Additionally, Dawn is able to relate body awareness, sensations and skills riders may be familiar with from other activities to their equestrian pursuits - a talent that has definitely proven useful in our active corner of the world, where students often spends as much time in the Brookes bike saddle as the Passier.

Dawn has worked extensively with Karl Mikolka, former Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, her most influential mentor, with whom she was fortunate to train bi-weekly for several years.  She has also apprenticed under the expertise of Kathy Connelley.  Dawn is constantly striving to improve her riding and teaching, attending clinics worldwide to bring home ideas to share with clients, most recently with Lendon Gray and with Anja Beran and Dr. Gerd Heuschmann, two forces in the dressage world to whose philosophy she ardently subscribes.
